Using the Self Assessment Family Emergency (SAFE) modules as the basis, Outcome Logic’s researchers created a list of equipment and services that would improve the preparedness (safety, self-reliance and resiliency) of any household. Then, they conducted an objective comparative evaluation (OCE) of all product specifications and supplier services. The result is our Affiliate and Source Program. This program includes 2 main categories:

              1. Products and equipment to improve family safety
              2. Training to improve safety skills

    This list is not “all-inclusive”, however it does represent the appropriate minimum to ensure currency and relevancy of information and resources.

    1. Products and equipment to improve safety

    Outcome staff researched available sources, and developed a listing of reputable suppliers who carried the most critical safety equipment. Outcome conducted an OCE considering multiple aspects of a supplier;

    - 33 specific criteria oriented to the customer’s perspective
    - Pricing and discounts, availability and fulfillment options, after sales service and warranty, sustainability and reputation of the company

    Potential vendors were ranked according to the result of the OCE. Only the top recommended sources are listed in the product Affiliate and Source chart below.

    2. Training to improve safety skills

    Using the SAFE Emergency Resiliency Report guidance as the basis, Outcome’s research staff defined a list of some of the most critical skills necessary to improve disaster preparedness. They then conducted an OCE considering multiple aspects of the training vendor, mainly focused on;

    - Experience, reputation, and reach of the company

    Potential vendors were ranked according to the result of the OCE. Only the top recommended sources are listed in the training Affiliate and Source chart below.
